TWENTY FIVE - The Peabody Ducks






They have a life that ducks could only dream of. They walk the red carpet of the Peabody Hotel twice a day surrounded by fans from all over the world. Living the life of luxury in the marble fountain in the center of the famed hotel lobby, these ducks take it in stride.
The tradition was started 75 years ago when the General Manager of the Peabody Hotel left some decoy ducks in the fountain overnight. That next morning, all eyes were on the ducks. So the tradition continues with five ducks led by the Duckmaster from their penthouse suite on the roof to marble fountain fresh with a waterfall.

TWENTY FOUR - Jeff Buckley Plaque at the Memphis Zoo



Jeff Buckley could cover a range that most people could never reach. When Jeff sang he took you to another dimension. Grace. An album but also the one word to describe the way he sang and performed.
His life would abruptly end due to an accidental drowning in Memphis, TN. He is remembered at the Memphis Zoo with two plaques dedicated to him at the tiger exhibit.
Another musician with a life cut short.

TWENTY TWO-THE FLOATING MARKETS OF THE MEKONG DELTA





Where the Mekong River empties into the South China Sea is called the Mekong Delta. The areas of the Mekong Delta are service by a series of canals and rivers. Here life revolves around the water. The floating market is where people could get anything from chewing gum to watermelons.

TWENTY ONE - HOI AN, VIETNAM'S FAMOUS CAO LAU NOODLES






The water drawn from century-old wells is the secret to Hoi An's famous Cao Lau noodles. There is a chewiness in these noodles which is the result of letting the rice soak in a mixture of lye and the famous well water before it is ground to form the noodles.
Delicious and only found in Hoi An, Vietnam.

TWENTY - THE IRRAWADDY DOLPHIN, LOWER MEKONG, LAOS



The Irrawaddy Dolphin is an oceanic dolphin found in the freshwaters of lower the Mekong River between the border of Laos and Cambodia. The Irrawaddy Dolphin has been placed on the extinction list with only 100 dolphin remaining.
These dolphins are protected and therefore, not hunted or captured. The Laos people believe these dolphins protect them from the dangers of the crocodile.

NINETEEN - ANGKOR WAT







It is a the symbol fo Cambodia. Built for King Suryavarman II in the 12th century, Angkor Wat was built as the capital city and his state temple. The name means "city temple" and was built as a dedication to Vishnu.
It took us three days to tour the grounds. All day.

EIGHTEEN - KHMER COOKING CLASS IN CAMBODIA







Delicious cuisine. Fresh, aromatic, colorful and tasty all describe Khmer cooking. So I decided to take a cooking class to learn how to make my own pumpkin soup, curry, mango salad, fried noodles and even a banana dessert.
